The Conneticut Wrapper's Elegance
The wrapper is a cigar's appearance and first impression.
The Connecticut wrapper, in its Class A natural form, offers a smooth, light surface with a stable, uniform color, thanks to its cultivation under sun shades.
When fresh from the fermentation process, it has a surprisingly rich, chocolatey aroma.
We chose the Connecticut wrapper for the Evolución No. 1 not for its appearance alone but for the balance it brings to the cigar.
When smoked, it contributes a light chocolate flavor with subtle, pleasant bitter notes.
These notes enhance the cigar's floral and rich aroma without overpowering it, adding a hint of almond for depth.
Each wrapper leaf is carefully processed and has to pass multiple quality checks, ensuring flawlessness.
Typically, a single leaf can yield two wrappers, cut from both sides of the main vein.
Precision in Tobacco Cutting
A core (the filler or tripa) defined by the complexity of its carefully selected blend of multiple tobacco strains. Some of the filler tobacco leaves are carefully cut into pieces about 1 square inch in size, while the rest of the leaves are used along the full length of the Vitola. This approach gives rise to the term "mixed-filler." It's a meticulous process that, to our knowledge, is unique in the cigar industry—and one we proudly apply.
Our master blender and roller prepare the cut with precision, distinct from picadura, which typically consists of leftover tobacco. This is an intentionally crafted mix designed to be the soul of the Evolución series.
