The name "El Baron Rojo"
The name “El Baron Rojo – The Red Baron” comes from Leonardo Reyes’ admiration for Manfred von Richthofen. Manfred von Richthofen, commanded both fear and respect among his enemies during World War I. Allied pilots recognized him as a lethal adversary and the most formidable German ace in the sky. Despite the danger he posed, many also saw him as embodying a certain knightly honor that was reminiscent of an earlier age of warfare. When he was ultimately killed in April 1918, British forces buried him with full military honors, a gesture reflecting the level of respect he had earned even among those he fought.
